Contact the Naugatuck Valley Project26 Ludlow St. Elizabeth Rosa, Organizer Elizabeth Rosa, NVP Organizer – Elizabeth has been employed by the NVP since 2001 and was NVP’s first full-time Latina Organizer. She first focused on identifying and cultivating leaders within Latino institutions and communities, building relationships and increasing NVP’s understanding of the issues affecting those communities. The NVP Medical Interpretation Project grows directly out of that effort. Elizabeth works with new immigrants around health care and jobs. She has staffed several NVP Congregational Development Campaigns and led leadership training institutes at NVP and with IVP. She also serves as Co-Pastor of Iglesia Pentacostal Casa del Perdon in Waterbury. Janet Caggiano, NVP Organizer – Janet has worked with NVP since 2003, beginning as part-time staff as a Congregational Developer, helping congregations strengthen relationships among their members. She then continued on part-time as NVP’s Housing Coordinator, working with the members of the Brookside Housing Cooperatives. Janet began working full time in July 2008. Janet started organizing in 1993 as an NVP leader and then served 3 terms as an NVP officer, including NVP President. Her organizing began around school issues, which evolved into parent empowerment around the school budget and the high drop out rate. Barbara Therrien, Office Manager – Barbara has been with NVP since 1987. Barbara is responsible for the day-to-day business management of the organization, record keeping, financial documents and bill paying, coordinating staff schedules, and clerical support for other NVP staff. Barbara also serves as the office manager for Naugatuck Valley Housing Development Corporation (NVP’s housing arm) working with the Brookside Housing Cooperatives.
